Using a barcode scanner in your sports club considerably simplifies and speeds up product management and sales, especially when you have a lot of products.
Here are the main benefits of this solution:
- Time-saving: No need to manually enter product references. A simple scan is all it takes.
- Reduced human error: The risk of error associated with manual data entry is eliminated.
- Real-time tracking: Products are immediately identified and associated with a sale, enabling stocks to be updated quickly.
This documentation guides you through the process of configuring your products in the catalogue and using the barcode scanner effectively when selling.
Prerequisite - Barcode scanner configured
The configuration of the barcode scanner is a prerequisite for the operation of the product search via Xplor Gym. To find out more about this, please consult the manual for your barcode scanner.
STEP 1 - INDICATE THE BARCODES OF SHOP PRODUCTS IN THE CATALOGUE
Go to Settings > Catalogue > Shop. Here, you must have configured the product as usual and enter the barcode in the corresponding field.
💡What's more, if you wish, you can already use the barcode scanner to insert the product barcode. Simply click on the barcode field to bring up the input cursor, then scan your product.
💡If you export the catalogue, the barcode will be visible.
Once you have configured the product (main information, prices and, if necessary, stock management), your sales teams can use the barcode scanner on a daily basis to easily find the shop products being sold.
STEP 2 - AT THE TIME OF SALE, FIND THE PRODUCT VIA THE BARCODE SCANNER
From the member file corresponding to the sale, click on the search field and then scan the product barcode using the barcode scanner.
The product corresponding to the barcode appears. You can then select it and proceed! If stock management is in place, the stock will be updated when the product is sold.
That's all there is to it - now you can use the barcode scanner to easily find your shop products at the time of sale!🎉
