How to create a product in your catalogue?

Most of the time, a product is a tangible object offered for sale to members. Bottles of water, towels, T- shirts… This article explains how to create a product in your club catalogue. 

STEP 1: GO TO THE CATALOGUE 

When connected to Xplor Gym, you are in the MANAGEMENT menu. Click on the Settings tab and then on Catalogue. Then click on the relevant tab: here the Shop. 

STEP 2: CREATE A NEW PRODUCT AND PROVIDE THE MAIN INFORMATION

Go to the shop tab, then click on + New product.

Provide the following information:

• ITS NAME

It enables to distinguish it from other products in the catalogue.

• ITS DESCRIPTION

It is not compulsory but enables to provide more information when several people manage Xplor Gym catalogue. It is only viewable in the back-office but you may make it viewable on the invoice as long as you ask the question to your Xplor Gym interlocutor. 

• ITS PRODUCT CODE

Here, nothing has to be specified if the accounting plan has not been configured in the application. If you wish to implement the accounting plan in the application, send a request to your Xplor Gym interlocutor. 

• ITS BARCODE 

If you're equipped with a barcode scanner, you'll be able to save time during a sale by quickly finding products using the scan. More about it here.

💡If you export the catalogue, the barcode will be visible.

• ITS UNIQUE REFERENCE

The unique reference allows you to identify your products internally in a fairly free way. It's useful for finding your way around when you have a lot of them. This is a free field that you can make compulsory if required from Clubs / Legal > Sign > Sign configuration > Make it mandatory to enter unique reference.

💡At the time of a sale, if you want to find a product easily, you can use this unique reference in the search field of the sales tunnel and the product will automatically be suggested to you.

💡If you export the catalogue, the unique reference will be visible there.

• LEGAL

If the club is part of a jurisdiction that must comply with the finance standard, then it will be necessary to indicate whether this product is considered to be an item or a service. In the case of a product, it is generally an item.

STEP 3: PROVIDE THE PRODUCT PRICE 

Provide the information regarding the price of your product. You may add restrictions or additional settings with the three dots.

How to highlight a product in the sales funnel?

If you tick the star, you can highlight your product in the sales funnel and it will come first in its product category when you make a sale:

Click on “Save”: your product is now available in the catalogue!
