GOOD TO KNOW
How to manage Opt-Out SMS?
Opt-Out SMS, that is to say Stop SMS, is the possibility to block incoming SMS on a mobile phone number.
How does it work?
- When a client applies Stop SMS on her/his mobile phone number, if this number is saved on another member file, Stop SMS still works.
- If the client joins another club, so another token, Stop SMS is still taken into account.
CREATE AN EMAIL TEMPLATE
On this screen, you may choose between several templates. The first four ones are common templates – their shape is preconfigured to save time; however, they remain editable . The last possible option would be to import a HTML communication template by clicking on “choose a file”.
Here below, you will find how to create a common email template.
To learn how to download a HTML communication template, please read this article.
STEP 2. 1 (emails): CLICK ON THE CHOSEN TEMPLATE
Please click on the “Simple message” template. One message might indicate that some fields will automatically be added to enable you to generate the email.
STEP 2. 2 (emails): WRITE AND FORMAT THE COMMUNICATION TEMPLATE
The window dedicated to writing and formatting opens. It is similar to a text/email processing window. The pictograms are quite obvious.
Before starting to write and format the email, you must first understand how the window works, notably pictograms and values.
- UNDERSTANDING PICTOGRAMS
enables you to add a picture from your computer.
enables you to create a table in the body of the email.
enables you to add a hyperlink in the body of the email.
respectively enable you to put in bold, italics and cross the text.
enables you to colour the text.
- UNDERSTANDING VALUES
When creating communication templates, you may join links to get information specific to the member or the situation.
You may also join links to various actions in Resamania or a specific part of the application (booking site, link to generate a password) to help a member orientate.
These fields to get information/links are values, they are available as soon as a common communication template is created.
Creating a communication template needs several stages:
1 – CHOOSING THE TYPE OF DISTRIBUTION
Choosing the type of distribution is a way to agree with the member’s choice not to receive certain types of emails.
2 – DETERMINING THE SUBJECT LINE
The subject line is compulsory. You may integrate a value if needed.
3 – WRITING THE EMAIL
The body of the email is amendable. Here, please write your text and join values if needed.
(3-bis) – ADDING A PICTURE IF NECESSARY
Please click where you wish to add the picture.
Please then click on the pictogram then “Upload”.
The folders from your computer open, you may click on the picture you want to add. Once uploaded, you may click on “send to the server”.
You get redirected to the “Image properties” tag enabling you to redefine its size for example. Once this tag is configured, please click on OK.
The picture appears in the body of the email, you may place it on the right, the left or in the middle thanks to the corresponding pictograms.
STEP 2. 3 (emails): ONCE THE EMAIL TEMPLATE IS GENERATED
Many options are possible:
- if you click on “New”, you will go back to the Email template screen.
- If you click on “Save”, you will be able to go back to this template whenever you want to send or amend it.
- If you click on “Test content”, you will be able to send the email to a member and check the result.
- if you click on “Disseminate”, you will send the email directly to the mailing list previously configured.
Once you clicked on “Disseminate”, the email communication campaign is sent to the recipients.

HOW TO CREATE A SMS TEMPLATE
You may choose between a common template “empty message” and import a template (html).
STEP 2.1 (SMS): I CLICK ON THE EXPECTED TEMPLATE
The given example here concerns the empty message.
To know how to upload a template under the HTML format, please see this article.
STEP 2.2: I WRITE AND FORMAT THE TEMPLATE
1 - Type of distribution
Choosing the type of distribution is a way to agree with the member’s choice to not receive certain types of emails.
2 - Understanding tags
When creating communication templates, you may join links to get information specific to the member or the circumstances.
You may also join links to various actions in Resamania or a specific part of the application (booking site, link to generate a password) to help a member orientate.
These fields to get information/links are tags, they are available as soon as a common communication template is created.
3 - SMS content
You simply have to write the text message. You may join tags if needed.
STEP 2.3 : I SEND THE CAMPAIGN AND CHECK ITS STATUS
Once the campaign created, I click on "Save" :
Then I can test the campaign :
And, I can disseminate it.
Once it has been launched, we are sent back to the history of communications which will inform us about:
- The status of the campaign : 3 statuses are possible (in progress :the campaign is being sent, awaiting: the campaign is being queueing, terminated: sent)
- The number of results : number of members targeted by the campaign out of the opt-in.
- The number of targeted members : number of members targeted by the campaign taking into account the opt-ins.
Good to know
The SMS test campaign does not include STOPSMS. Actually, it is a test so this is normal.
CREATE A NOTIFICATION
For notification templates, you can either choose a generic template 'empty message' or import a template (HTML).
STEP 2.1 (NOTIFICATION): CLICK ON THE SELECTED TEMPLATE
Click on New notification.
If you select the Resamania generic template, it is empty. So you must provide a title and add a content.
STEP 2.2: WRITE AND FORMAT THE COMMUNICATION TEMPLATE
Information
Unlike SMS and Emails, notifications contain no optins. Consequently, the client systematically receives this notification in the member area.
1. Subject
The subject of notification that the client receives in the member area.
2. Content of the notification
Just write the text contained in the notification.
STEP 2.3: SEND THE CAMPAIGN AND CHECK ITS STATUS
Once the campaign is created, click on Save:
Now you can test it:
Finally you can post it:
Once the campaign is launched, it is said that no history is available for this campaign.
However you can see the general history of communications:
If you filter on the type of message 'Member Notification', you can provide a period to know the number of notifications which were sent.
For each created campaign, if you open its history with the three-dot menu, you can see the 'Template' column wich specifies it is a notification. But, no information about its opening can be seen in the history.
GOOD TO KNOW
On the one-off campaign dashboard, that is to say the list of one-off campaigns created which appear in the main screen when you open the tab 'One-off campaigns', you can see on which network node each campaign is positioned and which user has created it. The advantage is that you can easily find out the position of a campaign in the network, and of course, if you cannot find out a campaign, check the node.
