How to calculate the VAT according to debits?

You must do your monthly VAT return. Your company does its VAT return according to debits. From the moment when you generated an invoice relating to a sale (whether already paid or pending), you must declare the amount of collected VAT. This article details how to calculate it from the application.

Double-click on the file called “export n°xxx DetailsLinesInvoices&CreditNotes.csv”.

Once opened with Excel, please calculate the sum in the column “VAT amount for the invoices or credit notes”. VAT from invoices is indicated as positive numbers and VAT from credit notes are indicated as negative numbers. The sum from this column of the chart will indicate the VAT amount for the current month (indicated with the time filter when generating the export).

The formula to apply (by adapting cells to the issued export) is: =SUM (R2: R44) for example.

Once this formula is applied, you’ll find the indicated amount on the Dashboard for the current month. In the same fashion as the two columns following the all including taxes amount, you may find the VAT amount as well as the revenue excluding all taxes.
