When scanning the Entry Pass on the reader, nothing happens. What to do then? This article explains what to do. 

CAUTION

This article relates to the example of a reader not scanning a badge. It doesn’t allow or deny any access. If you reader reads cards properly but denies access, you may read the following article: Why is my member's access denied? 

STEP_ARTICLE_CLIENT.JPGSTEP 1: CHECK THE WIRING OF YOUR RESABOX

To make the access control work properly, one must comply with two essential rules:

green_tick_in_a_circle.png  Your card reader must be connected, either directly or via a switch on the LAN 2 port of your resabox. 

green_tick_in_a_circle.png   Your internet box must be connected (ideally directly) on the LAN 1 port of your resabox. 

 

To check the wiring, please refer to the drawing below:

If the problem is still there after checking and potential change in the wiring, I go to step 2.

STEP_ARTICLE_CLIENT.JPGSTEP 2: RESET YOUR CARD READER ELECTRICALLY

Please first identify your reader: to do this, please click here. To make sure your reader is working, please reset it electrically. If you have a Gantner reader, unplug it and plug it again directly. If you have a Springcard reader, please reset your circuit breaker.

Please press once the Power switch. The diode will turn to red. Wait for 2 minutes. Please reset by pressing once the Power switch. The diode will turn to green. Wait for 2 minutes until the RESABOX resets and updates.
