A_SAVOIR.JPGCALCULATING THE TURNOVER ACCORDING TO A TIME PERIOD

  • Getting directly the turnover of the day, the week or the month

GOOD TO KNOW

Before starting, it is important to know how the turnover is calculated on the dashboard. The turnover is the sum of all products and services sold. Credit notes are subtracted, unpaid or partially paid sales are counted.

To know the club's turnover on the current day, month or year, you can go to the dashboard and see the Turnover indicator.

What type of group should you choose?

You may export…

… according to a weekly group > so as to learn the turnover for each week of the period

… according to a monthly group > so as to learn the turnover for each month of the period

… cumulatively so as to get the total amount of the turnover for the period (please note that the total amount is also available at the end of each export whatever group you may have chosen.)

Once you clicked on Save, the export is downloaded in the “All exports” category.

  • Calculating in detail the turnover of a time period

From the dashboard, you may know the amount of the club turnover for the current day, month or year as explained in this article. However, the dashboard won’t display the turnover in detail. To do this, it is advised to use the management exports, among them are the invoices and credit notes export providing detailed information about the turnover for the day.

TO KNOW

To learn how to use the exports, read this article. Here, you will learn how to find the detailed turnover for the club from the invoices and credit notes export.

The turnover provided on the dashboard is € 116.13  including all taxes for the current month (July). How to find the detailed turnover from the exports?

The zip file is downloaded on your browser, you just have to click on it to access the CSV files (Excel-compatible files).

STEP_ARTICLE_CLIENT.JPGSTEP 2: GO TO THE INVOICES AND CREDIT NOTES LINES

Double-click on the file named “export n°xxx DetailedLinesInvoices&CreditNotesAssets.csv”.

article_190_screenshot_5.png

Once you opened it with Excel, make a sum in the column named “amount with all including taxes for the invoice and credit note line”. Invoices are the positive numbers; credit notes are the negative numbers. It means that the sum in this column will show the revenue including all taxes for the current month (previously indicated with the time period filter when generating the export).

The formula to use is = SUM(P2:P44).

Once this formula is applied, you will get the same amount including all taxes as the one for the current month viewable from the dashboard. In the same way, you will find the amount including all taxes and the turnover excluding all taxes in the two columns following the amount including all taxes.

  • Comparing the network clubs’ turnovers

You may activate a turnover export in the network. The first chart will enable to compare the revenue for the indicated time period before downloading the export.
